Pedestrian-Involved Accident Prompts Temporary Road Closure
Woman in her 20s sustains critical, life-threatening injuries.

SOUTH AUSTIN, TX -- A pedestrian who was hit by a vehicle on East Riverside Thursday afternoon was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, emergency officials said.
An Austin-Travis County EMS crew reported to the scene of the accident at about 2:45 p.m.
The accident prompted the closure of the westbound lanes of East Riverside at Crossing Place for more than an hour while investigators surveyed the scene.

The pedestrian, an unidentified woman in her 20s, was transported to University Medical Center Brackenridge with critical, life-threatening injuries, EMS officials said.
