Pedestrian Killed By Car In Southwest Austin
Incident occurred shortly after 8 p.m. along West U.S. 290 near Boling Drive and Scenic Brook Drive Wednesday night, medics said.

SOUTH AUSTIN, TX — A pedestrian was killed after being hit by a vehicle in the southwest part of the city Wednesday night, officials said.
Austin-Travis County EMS medics said the victim is a man in his 20s who died at the scene. The incident occurred shortly after 8 p.m. along West U.S. 290 near Boling Drive and Scenic Brook Drive, medics said.
The collision prompted the closure of the road in both directions for hours after the incident as police investigated the scene. It's unclear if the motorist will face charges as a result of the traffic fatality.
