Pedestrian Killed While Trying To Cross South Austin Street
Early morning collision along South Lamar Boulevard near Bluebonnet Lane left man in his 30s dead at the scene as driver remained on scene.

AUSTIN, TEXAS — A pedestrian was killed while trying to cross South Lamar Boulevard Friday morning, officials said.
The incident occurred near Bluebonnet Lane just after 2:20 am., according to Austin-Travis County EMS medics. The victim is described as a man in his 30s, while the driver, who reportedly stayed at the scene awaiting the arrival of police, was described as a man in his 20s.
The collision prompted road closures in the area to accommodate a police investigation. Consequently, Motorists were urged to avoid the area through Friday morning.
