Police ID Victims Of South Austin Double Shooting, Continue Searching For Suspect
Mariano Gonzalez-Lopez was found dead in a pickup truck and Juan Gonzalez-Lopez seriously wounded after April 6 shooting.

SOUTH AUSTIN, TX — Police on Tuesday identified the victims of a shooting, one of them fatally wounded, that occurred last month in South Austin while asking for help from the public in finding a suspect.
Police reported to 1881 Grove Blvd. on April 6 just after 4:30 a.m. There, they found Mariano Gonzalez-Lopez, 20, in a pickup truck dead from his injuries and Juan Gonzalez-Lopez, 20, wounded on the driveway of the apartment complex suffering from obvious physical trauma.
Homicide detectives continue to interview witnesses and following up on leads.Detectives are asking anyone with any information regarding this incident to call the Homicide Tip Line at 512-477-3588 or Crime Stoppers at 512-472-TIPS or text "Tip 103" + your message to CRIMES or use the new Crime Stoppers App. You can also submit tips by downloading APD’s mobile app, Austin PD, for free on iPhone and Android. Up to a $1000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of this homicide suspect. You may remain anonymous. Police noted that, with the incident on Grove Boulevard, there have been 11 homicides in Austin so far this year:
