Police Identify Man Killed In South Austin After Driving Car Into Concrete Pillar
Kyle Jared Joseph, 36, was pronounced dead at the scene after leaving the roadway for unknown reasons and crashing into obstacle.

SOUTH AUSTIN, TX — Police on Friday released the name of the person who died after driving his car into a concrete pillar on Wednesday.
Kyle Jared Joseph, 36, was traveling east along the 300 block of West Ben White Boulevard in a blue 1999 Toyota Camera on Wednesday at about ten minutes before 6 a.m. when, for unknown reasons, left the roadway and struck a concrete pillar, police said. Joseph was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to police, impairment is suspected as a factor in the collision, and toxicology reports are expected as a result.

The wreck marked Austin’s 74th fatal traffic crash and the 76th fatality of 2016. At this time in 2015, there were 86 traffic fatalities in Austin, police noted.
