Police Investigate After Man Found Shot In Southeast Austin

The man was rushed to the hospital in critical condition after being found shot along the 6300 block of Riverside Drive.

SOUTH AUSTIN, TX — A police investigation continues after a man in southeast Austin was hospitalized Wednesday night with a gunshot wound.

The incident occurred in the 6300 block of Riverside Drive near Montopolis Drive just before midnight, KXAN reported. The man was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

As of Thursday, police were unclear as to how the man became injured. The possibility that the wound was self-inflicted hasn't been ruled out, the station suggested. Police didn't specify what part of the man's body sustained the injuries.
