Police Investigate South Austin Homicide
Man was found mortally wounded Sunday evening along the 500 block of East Stassney Lane east of Congress.

SOUTH AUSTIN, TX β Police are searching for a suspect in a Sunday evening homicide in South Austin, officials said.
Police were alerted to the scene at around 9:22 p.m. in the parking lot of Griffis SoCo Austin Apartments along the 500 block of East Stassney Lane east of Congress Avenue. Upon their arrival, police found a mortally injured man believed to be in his 20s with significant trauma throughout his body.
It's unclear if the victim's wounds were gunshot or knife injuries. The man was rushed to St. David's South Austin Medical Center for treatment of life-threatening injuries, but he died shortly after his arrival.

Although they have no suspect in custody, police assured there was no threat to the public at large. This verbiage is typically employed when police believe a violent interaction is strictly between a suspect and victim.
