Police Locate Mom Of Toddler Found Wandering Alone In South Austin

A reverse 911 call was sent out earlier to some 2,800 residents as police desperately sought to reunite girl with her mother.

SOUTH AUSTIN, TX -- Police have located the mother of a two-year-old who was found alone wandering the streets.

The little girl was found in the 2200 block of Willow Creek Drive shortly after 8 a.m. on Monday, police said. Some three hours later, police disclosed they had found the child's mother.

Earlier, police sent out an advisory asking for help from the public in locating the child's parents. A reverse 911 call was sent to nearly 3,000 residents in the area as police sought the girl's mother.
