Police Seek Help Finding South Austin Aggravated Robbery Suspect
Images from a surveillance camera were released in the hopes that someone might be able to ID the suspect and call police.

SOUTH AUSTIN, TX -- Police are asking for the public's help in identifying the suspect in an aggravated robbery at at Walmart over the weekend.
The incident occurred at around 2 p.m. on Oct. 2 at the Walmart parking lot located at 9300 S. Interstate 35 service road. Officials with the Austin Police Department said the suspect arrived at the location in a silver minivan. He entered the store for a brief time and later approached a customer in the parking lot.
During the encounter, the suspect displayed a firearm while demanding money from the victim before reentering his vehicle and fleeing the scene. Police said a similar incident occurred about a half hour earlier at a different business in the vicinity. Police believe the same man acted in both incidents.

Still images taken from a surveillance camera were released in the hopes that someone might be able to identify the suspect. He is described as being between 20 to 25 years old, either white or Hispanic and standing at about 5' 9" tall. He is described as having a thin to medium build, dark hair and a "chin strap" type of beard. He was last seen wearing a baseball cap, eyeglasses, dark colored jacket, white shirt, red pants and gray tennis shoes with white soles.
