Police Seek Help Solving South Austin Hit-And-Run Case (Video)
Truck driver is seen on video hitting a female pedestrian before fleeing the scene, leaving victim with life-threatening injuries.

SOUTH AUSTIN, TX — Police are seeking assistance from the public in locating a suspect wanted in a hit-and-run collision that left a pedestrian with life-threatening injuries.
The incident occurred on Friday, Feb. 9, along the 700 block of East Ben White Boulevard at around 2 a.m. Witnesses reported seeing a truck strike a woman before fleeing westbound on East Ben White Boulevard. The vehicle is described as:
- Dark green.
- Diesel Dodge pickup with lift kit.
- Oversize wheels.
- Front brush guard.
Police issued a video taken from a surveillance camera in the hopes it might help solve the case. Those with information are urged to call investigators at (512) 974-5789 or Crime Stoppers at 512-472-TIPS or by texting "Tip 103" + the message to CRIMES. Tipsters also can submit information by downloading APD’s mobile app, Austin PD, for free on iPhone and Android.

The video of the incident follows. Viewer discretion is advised, as it shows the moment the pedestrian is mowed down by the truck driver, who seemingly does not decelerate even after the woman is struck.
