Police Seek Suspect Accused Of Grabbing Woman From Behind In South Austin Park

The woman escaped unharmed, but she was thrown to the ground while she was merely trying to have a drink at the water fountain.

SOUTH AUSTIN, TX --Austin police are seeking a suspect who grabbed a woman from behind while she was using a water fountain at a southwest Austin park Friday afternoon.

The incident occurred a bit past the noon hour at the Circle C Ranch Metro Park. The man reportedly pushed the woman to the ground before fleeing on foot.

The man is described as being in his 40s, unshaven and of medium build. He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap and black long-sleeved shirt with construction-style jeans that were unclean, according to police.
