Police Seek Suspect In South Austin Bank Robbery
Clearly a Longhorns fan given his attire, suspect is said to have walked into a Wells Fargo Bank branch around noon Wednesday with note.

SOUTH AUSTIN, TX — Police are looking for a bank robbery suspect stemming from a holdup Wednesday afternoon at a Wells Fargo Bank branch in South Austin.
Police said the suspect entered the branch located at 500 E. Ben White Blvd. at around 12:10 p.m. before presenting the teller with a note demanding money. The suspect then left the scene in a white 2006 to 2010 "Eddie Bauer" edition Ford Explorer with silver trim and running boards. The vehicle also has back tinted windows.

No injuries were reported as a result of the incident, and the amount of cash taken was not disclosed. Police released surveillance camera images of the suspect and his vehicle in the hopes someone might recognize the man and alert them as to his whereabouts.

The suspect is described as a white man standing at about six feet tall and weighing some 185 pounds. He has short brown hair and a goatee. He was last seen wearing a blue and orange Texas Longhorns ball cap; blue long-sleeved button-up shirt; blue jeans; cowboy boots; and an orange Texas Longhorns backpack.

This case remains under investigation by APD Robbery detectives.
