Police Seek Suspect In South Austin Bank Robbery (Video)
Hoping to find culprit, police release surveillance footage of suspect who entered bank branch at 2301 E. Riverside Dr. and demanded money.

Police on Tuesday issued a news advisory on the robbery along with video surveillance footage of the suspect. According to police, the male suspect entered the Capital One bank branch, 2301 E. Riverside Dr., and demanded money. The suspect told the teller he was armed although he displayed no weapon.
The suspect fled with an undetermined amount of cash, no injuries were reported.

According to police, the suspect is a black male in his 20s with short hair. He stands at about 6 feet in height and was last seen wearing a distinctive striped jacket. Surveillance footage from a bank security camera was released in the hopes someone might recognize the suspect and alert police.
The case is currently under investigation by the Austin Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Central Texas Violent Crimes Task Force (CTVCTF), officials said. Those with information are urged to call the Robbery tip line at (512) 974-5092, Crime Stoppers at (512) 472-TIPS or by using the new Crime Stoppers App. Those with information also can submit tips by downloading APDβs mobile app, Austin PD, for free on iPhone and Android.
