Residents Rescued From South Austin Fire By Neighbor
Fire officials said fire at 4600 block of Englewood Drive resulted in 'catastrophic' damage to structure but credited neighbor with rescue.

SOUTH AUSTIN, TX — A neighbor of two residents is being credited with helping rescue them from a burning South Austin home Friday night, officials said.
Austin fire officials were called to the 4600 block of Englewood Drive where a home sustained "catastrophic" damage, they tweeted. The fire call occurred at around 10:38 p.m., and the conflagration was extinguished in about five minutes' time, according to fire officials.
In a tweet, fire officials said the two displaced occupants of the home narrowly escaped injury. They credited the neighbor with the rescue.
