School Placed On Lockdown After Suspicious Man Enters Gym
Man was arrested without incident at Regents School of Austin, but lockdown lasted entire afternoon.

SOUTH AUSTIN, TX -- A southwest Austin private school went on lockdown Thursday afternoon after a suspicious man entered the facility, according to police.
Administrators with Regents School of Austin took the measure upon recommendation of police at about 1 p.m., KVUE-TV reports.
Police were called to the school in the 3900 block of Travis County Circle after the man entered the gymnasium and had a seat. No shots were fired, the news station reported.

The unidentified man was subsequently placed in custody, and the lockdown was lifted at the conclusion of the school day although afternoon activities were cancelled as a result.
