Septic Truck Driver Dies In South Austin Crash
Unidentified person died after hitting a utility pole while travelling north on Thaxton Road and losing control, officials said.

SOUTH AUSTIN, TEXAS — A person died in a rollover crash involving a septic truck in the southeast part of the city early Thursday.
Texas Department of Public Safety officials said the driver hit a utility pole just before 6 a.m. while traveling north on Thaxton Road when he lost over-corrected and lost control, KXAN and other media outlets reported. The driver died at the scene from the force of the impact.
The intersection of Thaxton and Sassman roads was blocked off to traffic for several hours given the challenge of removing the truck from the site. The crash happened near the intersection of the two roads, south of the point where McKinney Falls Parkway turns into Thaxton Road.
