Sheriff's Deputies Find Dead Body After Responding To Welfare Check Call
Detectives find deceased person in an advanced state of decomposition in southwest Travis County, according to sheriff's office.

AUSTIN, TX β Travis County Sheriff's Office deputies on Sunday found a deceased person in an advanced state of decomposition after responding to a welfare check call, officials said.
Deputies were called to the 10000 block of Sandy Beach Road at around 10:30 a.m. on Sunday. Upon arrival, they found the deceased person, according to a news advisory.
Detectives at the sheriff's office and their counterparts at the Travis County Medical Examinerβs Office are investigating the incident, officials said. An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause and manner of death, officials added, but the identity of the decedent was withheld pending notification to next of kin.
