South Austin High School Student Hit, Critically Injured By Car
Wednesday evening incident lands Bowie High School teenager at St. David's South Austin Medical Center with critical wounds.

SOUTH AUSTIN, TX — A South Austin high school student was struck by a vehicle and critically injured Wednesday night, officials confirmed.
Austin-Travis County EMS officials first reported the incident at 5:41 p.m. Wednesday. In a tweeted update, medics said the teenage boy was struck near Bowie High School at 4103 W. Slaughter Lane in the southwest portion of Austin.
The boy was rushed to St. David's South Austin Medical Center with critical injuries. Austin ISD oficials later confirmed to media outlets that the child is a student at the Bowie High School. It's unclear if the driver stayed at the scene or if charges are pending against the motorist.
