South Austin Man Stabbed in Argument Over Drugs: ICYMI
Police say he was stabbed by his roommate, who he had only been living with for a week.

A man is facing charges after allegedly stabbing his roommate after accusing him of stealing his drugs.
Mason Rain Bolton, 22, is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon causing serious bodily injury, reported the Austin American-Statesman. Police told the newspaper they received a call about the stabbing, which occurred on the 3100 block of Parker Lane, around 9:30 a.m. Sunday.

When officers arrived on the scene they found four people in the apartment, including the man who had been stabbed. Bolton was standing on the balcony of the apartment holding a knife, the Statesman reported. Bolton had woken up his roommate that morning, accusing him of stealing cocaine, police said. Afterward a fight broke out and Bolton returned with the knife used to stab his roommate, according to arrest records obtained by the Statesman.
Bolton has also been charged for drug possession. Officers said they found 2.2 grams of cocaine, 7.3 ounces of marijuana and 0.8 grams of methamphetamine in the apartment.

Bolton is currently booked in Travis County Jail. His bail is set for $180,000.
