South Austin Motorcyclist Critically Injured In Collision
A man in his 50s is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries after crashing into a parked car.

SOUTH AUSTIN, TX -- Yet another serious accident involving a motorcyclist occurred overnight Thursday.
A motorcyclist in his 50s sustained serious injuries after crashing into a parked car in South Austin. The collision occurred shortly after 10 p.m. at the 2700 block of Goldbridge Drive, near the intersection with West Gate Boulevard.
The man was taken to University Medical Center Brackenridge with critical, life-threatening injuries, according to Austin-Travis County EMS officials.

The latest collision is the latest one involving a motorcyclist in a scenario becoming all too common -- virtually a weekly occurrence -- on Austin roadways. In recent weeks alone, there have been a series of motorcycle accidents that have happened on already-congested streets, some of them proving fatal.
