St. Edwards Ranked Among Best Colleges In Texas

Its 8th-place ranking attributable to academics offerings, professor strength, student diversity and other factors.

SOUTH AUSTIN, TX -- St. Edward’s University was ranked among the top ten best college in Texas, according to a recent study.

Academic content provider Niche has unveiled its annual “Best Colleges” rankings, putting St. Edwards in the eighth slot.

Several aspects of academic life were taken into account in achieving the list, including academics, value, professor quality, student body diversity, athletics and other factors.

St. Edwards scored high on key metrics: An A- for the quality of its professors and campus; an A+ for its local area; an A on student life and diversity.

Across town, the University of Texas at Austin was ranked No. 2.

St. Edwards is a private liberal arts Catholic university with more than 5,000 students. Founded in 1878, Its campus is spread over 160 acres from South Congress Avenue to Interstate 35.

The college also has been recognized as one of “America’s Best Colleges” by U.S. News & World Report for the last ten years, ranking 20th among regional universities in the Western area.

Niche was founded in 2002 by Carnegie Mellon University students as CollegeProwler.com.
