State Officials Identify Two Killed in Hit-and-Run, Thrown in Ditch
State troopers responded to a call at 12:15 Sunday and determined the two were killed in a hit-and-run.

State troopers have identified two people they say were killed in a hit-and-run and thrown in a ditch along FM 812.
The victims are Maria Ramirez, 39, of Austin, and Luis Bonilla-Gutierrez, 36, of Smithville, Robbie Barrera, a spokeswoman for the Department of Public Safety, told Patch.
Officers were responding to a call Sunday at 12:15 p.m. when they found the bodies in the ditch along FM 812 near Highway 183. At first officials believed the two could have been victims of recent flooding in the area, but road rash on the bodies led them to determine hit-and-run as the cause of death, Barrera said.
