Julio Guel-Ramirez, 24, reportedly tried selling stolen goods on Facebook.

SOUTH AUSTIN, TX -- Police arrested a suspect in a string of thefts after he allegedly tried selling the ill-gotten gains on Facebook.
Some five businesses on the 7500 block of Rialto Boulevard were hit on the evening of Nov. 28. A lead in the investigation opened up a week later after the owner of one of the targeted businesses spotted some of his stolen property for sale on the social media forum, the Austin American-Statesman reported.
Police were able to track the seller of the items, and promptly arrested Julio Guel-Ramirez, a 24-year-old who reportedly has a long criminal record. The detective on the case wrote in his affidavit that the suspect confessed to having taken the goods, collectively valued at more than $12,000.
