SWAT Team Called To Austin Home Amid Domestic Disturbance
Incident along 6900 block of Villita Avenida in the Montopolis neighborhood Friday morning called off after suspect not found at home.

AUSTIN, TX — In a common tactic for local police in responding to threats, a SWAT team was dispatched to South Austin on Friday following reports of a domestic dispute before ending with no arrests made.
SWAT team members took position outside a home along the 6900 block of Villita Avenida in the Montopolis neighborhood around 8:15 a.m. amid reports of a domestic disturbance involving a man who was possibly armed. According to reports, the woman in the dispute was found safe but the man was not inside the residence. Police reportedly did find a firearm in the home, but it's uncertain if it was brandished during the confrontation between the two residents.
The victim reportedly was hospitalized but the extent of her injuries was not disclosed. As of Friday afternoon, police had not reported an arrest but did say the public at large was not in any danger.
