Skylar Cuthbertson, 18, was picked up on suspicion of drunk driving when he offered cop $200 for a ride home instead, police said.

SOUTH AUSTIN, TEXAS — A teenager arrested on suspicion of drunk driving offered the arresting officer $200 for a ride home, leading to an additional bribery charge, according to a report.

The 18-year-old driver, Skylar Cuthbertson, was at the intersection of West Slaughter Lane and South Congress Avenue at around 3:45 a.m. flailing his arms seemingly in an attempt to flag down a police officer, according to an arrest affidavit referenced by the Austin American-Statesman. The officer at the scene found the teen listening to music in his car, according to the report.

After showing signs of intoxication, the teen had been taken to the city's newly opened sobriety center before being ejected from the center upon becoming uncooperative with workers there, according to the report. Cuthbertson is said to have offered the police officer $200 to give him a ride home instead of arresting him.
