Ten People, Including 3 Children, Injured In South Austin Wreck
Wreck along Interstate 35 involved multiple vehicles occurred during noon rush hour traffic near the Woodward Street exit.

SOUTH AUSTIN, TX — Ten people, including three children, were injured in a traffic collision along Interstate 35 on Thursday, officials said.
The wreck involving multiple vehicles occurred at around 12:20 p.m., according to Austin-Travis County EMS officials and police. The crash site was along the 2900 block of I-35 South, near the Woodward Street exit.
Via Twitter, EMS officials said the three children injured were rushed to Dell Children's Medical Center with potentially serious injuries; a pair of adults accompanying the children suffered potentially serious injuries; two adults were taken to Dell Seton Medical Center; a woman in her 20s were transported to St. David's South Austin with injuries deemed serious but not life-threatening; another pair of adults refused treatment.

The multi-vehicle wreck created congestion along a long stretch of roadway, backing up traffic along I-35 all the way north to Manor Road. The portion of highway has since been reopened to traffic.
