would add an express lane in each direction of I-35 and address all remaining safety and mobility improvements of Mobility 35 program.

SOUTH AUSTIN, TX — Transportation officials have scheduled an open house next month for the so-called South 10-Mile Comprehensive Project stretching from Riverside Drive to SH 45SE in South Austin.
The South 10 project would add an express lane in each direction of I-35 and address all remaining safety and mobility improvements proposed under the Mobility35 Program, officials said. Two alternatives are being considered: a build alternative consisting of express lanes with direct transit accommodation and a no-build alternative. The build alternative would provide bus transit access to and from the express lanes with dedicated bus-only ramp access in specific locations, officials added.
Texas Department of Transportation official explained that the purpose of the open house is to share information on proposed improvements included in the South 10-Mile Comprehensive Project, which stretches from Riverside Drive to SH 45SE. The open house will allow attendees the opportunity to review and comment on the proposed project, which is part of the overall Mobility35 Program, officials said.
