Texas Transportation Officials Set Meeting Updating Statewide Transportation Improvements Program

The meeting in South Austin is designed to receive public comment on May revisions to metropolitan and statewide planning.

SOUTH AUSTIN, TX β€” Texas Department of Transportation officials will stage a public meeting detailing the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program related to metropolitan and Texas-wide planning.

The meeting is scheduled on June 27 at 200 E. Riverside Dr. at 10 a.m. The gathering is intended to receive public comments on the May 2017 quarterly revisions to the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program.

  • Reflects the federally funded transportation projects in the FY 2017-2020 Transportation Improvement Programs (TIPs) for each Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) in the state.
  • Includes both state and federally funded projects for the non-attainment areas of Dallas-Fort Worth, El Paso, and Houston.
  • Contains information on federally funded projects in rural areas that are not included in any MPO area, and other statewide programs as listed.
