Drivers are being diverted to the Oltorf access road at Exit 232A, the station reported. Austin fire officials told the station that an oil spill caused by the crash is in the process of being cleaned up to allow drivers to safely negotiate the roadway.
Northbound traffic is backed to Slaughter Lane as a result of the wreck. A viable option to I-35 is the State Highway 130 toll to circumvent the resulting traffic snarls.
