Three Rescued in Vehicle Rollover

Car falls off 10-foot ditch, two seriously injured.

Emergency personnel rescued three people from a rollover accident Tuesday morning, extricating the victims from a car that had rolled into a ditch near the airport.

Austin-Travis County EMS personnel responded to the scene at 2:24 a.m. off Texas Highway 71 near U.S. 183, near the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. Once there, first responders found the victims inside a car that had rolled off a 10-foot ditch.

Through live-feed Twitter updates, Austin-Travis County EMS officials said two men, believed to be in their 30s, were taken to the hospital—both with serious injuries. A third victim did not require medical attention in a hospital setting.

The EMS news feeds described a hectic scene requiring a third ambulance to be dispatched to the scene. In one update, they described one of the victims as having sustained critical injuries.
