SOUTH AUSTIN, TX — Motorists may want to avoid the stretch of Interstate 35 northbound right before Slaughter Lane where an accident has occurred Monday afternoon, backing up traffic.

The accident has blocked two right lanes of roadway, resulting in stop-and-go traffic backed up to Cabelas Drive. The travel delay is estimated at 14 minutes as a result.
