Woman Arrested In South Austin For DWI While Two Infants Were In Back Seat
Stephanie Clark, 33, admitted to police she was under the influence of prescription drugs and possibly marijuana, affidavit reads.

SOUTH AUSTIN, TX — Police arrested a woman for having driven while intoxicated with two infants in the back seat of the car on Friday, according to a published report.
Police responded to a call shortly after midnight along the 1300 block of Oltorf Street, the Austin American-Statesman reported. The responding officer found Stephanie Clark, 33, passed out inside the car according to an arrest affidavit referenced by the newspaper.
She was slumped over in the driver's seat, according to the affidavit, and held a lit cigarette. The car was running at the time, and two six-month-old infants were in the vehicle at the time. A witness later told police the woman was driving on the inside lane of East Oltorf Street while drifting into oncoming traffic.

The woman later copped to having taken small doses of the prescription drugs Zoloft and alprazolam and smoking what she believed to be marijuana, although she indicated she couldn't be sure, according to the affidavit. A selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor, Zoloft is used to treat depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD), social anxiety disorder, and panic disorder. Alprazolam, meanwhile, is a sedative used to treat anxiety and panic disorder.
Clark was booked into the Travis County Jail under a $10,000 bail.
