Woman Dies in Auto v. Pedestrian Crash off I-35

The woman was pronounced dead on the scene.

A woman died Monday morning in an auto vs. pedestrian collision on the 7700 block of the South Interstate 35 service road.

The woman, who was in her 20s, was pronounced dead on the scene at 5:31 a.m., police told Patch. The collision took place just north of Slaughter Lane, at the bottom of a hill on the service road.

The driver immediately returned to the scene of the collision and cooperated with police, officials said. There was no sign that the driver was intoxicated.

The police have not yet identified the woman killed in the collision.
