Woman Killed In Multi-Vehicle Crash In South Travis County

Motorist in her 20s crossed the center lane of traffic, hitting a semi-truck and a car that had caught fire in a separate incident.

SOUTH AUSTIN, TX -- A young woman died Tuesday afternoon in the southern part of the county in a wreck involving two other vehicles.

Austin-Travis County EMS officials were called to the scene near the FM 1327 entrance ramp onto the Texas 45 toll road. Once there, medics found a woman in her 20s already dead at the scene.

The multi-vehicle accident involved a semi-truck that officials said had caught fire. The dead motorist was driving eastbound on FM 1327 when her vehicle crossed the center lane, hitting the other vehicles in the process, according to police.
