Wreck Involving Cement Truck In Southeast Travis County Forces FM 1327 Lane Closures

The area is still being cleared, and motorists are being asked to avoid the area.

SOUTH AUSTIN, TX -- A crash involving a cement truck has closed off both southbound lanes of FM 1327.

Austin-Travis County EMS officials reported to the accident scent at about 8:00 a.m. Thursday morning. The site is on FM 1327, an artery linking to Interstate 35 and U.S. 183 in the southeastern portion of the county.

A STAR flight helicopter landed at the scene earlier to transport a male victim to the hospital, according to EMS officials.

Efforts to clear the area continue, and motorists are highly urged to avoid the area altogether. Drivers should also expect delays on U.S. 183, EMS officials added.
