• 14-year-old arrested in deadly shooting of Westfield High School student (click2houston.com) — In Spring, a 14-year-old has been arrested after the fatal shooting of 15-year-old Westfield High School student Royce Witchet near campus on Ella Boulevard. The incident, close to the Spring ISD administration building, has shaken local families, and investigators are urging students and witnesses to share any videos, messages, or tips with the Harris County Sheriff's Office or Crime Stoppers.
   

• Newmark 180,000 square feet of new office leasing activity in Spring property (rejournals.com) — A major office tower at 10000 Energy Drive in Spring is now nearly 90% leased after landing about 180,000 square feet of new commitments, including several headquarters. For Spring-area residents, this means more nearby jobs, busier surrounding shops and restaurants, and a stronger local business hub along I-45 with upgraded amenities like trails, fitness facilities, and a food hall.
