Body of Klein Collins Grad Found In San Francisco Bay

A bicyclist discovered the nude body of Chuchu Ma in San Francisco Bay on Dec. 7.

SPRING, TX — A woman whose body was discovered floating in San Francisco Bay last week, was a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, and valedictorian for Klein Collins High School’s class of 2012.

The nude body of Chuchu Ma, 23, was discovered by a bicyclist, who was riding along a the Bay Trail.

Ma, who began working for Google as a software engineer last year, was reported missing by her boyfriend, the same day her body was found, KGO-TV reported.

Investigators said the boyfriend was visiting Ma from out of town, but declined to say anything further about his connection to the investigation.

Meanwhile, officials at Google expressed their shock and sadness of Ma’s death.

"Chuchu was an excellent software engineer in our developer product team," a spokesperson for Google said. "We are devastated to learn of her passing, and our deepest condolences are with her family and friends."

Upon learning of Ma’s untimely death, Klein ISD released a statement that expressed the district’s condolences to the family, friends and classmates of Ma.
