Easter 2018: What's Happening In Houston This Weekend

HOUSTON, TX — The first major holiday of the spring season will ensure there is something for everyone to do this weekend.

Easter is normally the season for stellar egg hunts for children and adults, family picnics and Sunday church services, but there’s a lot more and it all starts on Good Friday, of course.

The Houston Open| The Golf Club of Houston| Humble| Tickets $35| The storms may have delayed the start, but the weekend is a great one for hitting the links. The premier event was formerly known as the Shell Houston Open.

Kemah Boardwalk|Kemah, TX| With a weekend like this, you need to get the family out for fun rides, and a bit of all around bonding. There will be tons of Easter themed activities this weekend including a visit from the Easter Bunny himself.

Easter Eggstavaganza at Blessington Farms|Saturday and Sunday in Simonton, TX| Admission $20 per person; children 18 months and under are free| Pick your own berries and hunt a few Easter eggs while your at it. You can enjoy rides and a petting zoo too.

Tribute to The Woodlands Music Festival| Town Green Park| Admission $5| Saturday noon-11 p.m.|The first ever music fest in The Woodlands and will feature music from the 60s through today. Bring your lawn chairs and chillax! For tickets, click the link above.

Easter on the Ranch at the Smith Ranch|Katy, TX| Saturday 10-4| Try and imagine an Easter egg hunt on 40 acres. It won’t be that big of an egg hunt, but there’s lots to do, such as paddle boats, a petting zoo and an awesome bounce house. Admission is $10.

H-Town Blues Festival at NRG| Houston| Saturday @ 7p.m.|Get your groove on this weekend at NRG with smooth artists like Sir Charles Jones, TK Soul, and Calvin Richardson. Tickets online.

Screen on the Green| Discovery Green in Houston| Saturday 8-10 p.m.| Enjoy family-friendly movies at Discovery Green with a view of the downtown Houston skyline during Bank of America's Screen on the Green, a free film series presented by Taquerias Arandas. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs and arrive early for contests and other activities. The tale as old as time continues with Disney’s release of an all-new sing-along version of Beauty and the Beast.

Easter At Hermann Park| Houston| Sunday 8-10 a.m.| A beautiful Sunday breakfast, along with an Easter egg hunt and a ride on the Railroad. What could be better? Cost $13.

My First Music Lesson| Discovery Green in Houston| Sunday 3-4 p.m.| In this free, hands-on class led by Divisi Strings, professional musicians teach the basics of music in a fun and family-friendly environment. Suitable for children grades 1 through 8.

Bayou Bikers at Market Square| Sunday 8-10 a.m.| The ride begins at Market Square Park and takes you on a circuitous trek of up to 40 miles around the Bayou City.
