Today is National Parental Involvement Day, and I’m so excited to celebrate all the moms, dads, and family members who are essential to our Klein Family—today and every day!
We thank you for the privilege of educating your children, and we honor you, parents, as our students’ very first and forever teachers. You play a critical role in our ability to continue our tradition of excellence in Klein ISD. We are grateful for your many contributions at school and at home to support student success.

It always brings me such joy to see our families involved at our campuses by volunteering and partnering with our educators to expand the support we provide each day to our students. This partnership not only tremendously supports our teachers and our schools, but being involved in your child’s education also has been shown to greatly increase academic success.
Here are three quick tips for ways that you can get involved at your child’s campus:
Be engaged. Our campuses are always looking for volunteers, and we love seeing our parents and family members help out! If you haven’t already, I encourage you to reach out to your campus and ask them how you can assist as a volunteer. You can learn more about volunteering by going to kleinisd.net/volunteers.
Be equipped. We want to equip you with the knowledge you need to best support your child. For the most accurate, helpful information, please start with reaching out to your child’s school. Teams of experts—including teachers, administrators, counselors, nurses, and more—are here to support you and your child with the information you need.
If you need additional help and support, please:
Be educated about what’s happening in Klein ISD. FamilyNET is a convenient one-stop-shop to find everything you need to support your child’s success. This site is loaded with great resources for our families to educate themselves on ways to support their child’s learning and more. Additionally, our Klein ISD website is regularly updated with news to know and ways to stay informed. Don’t forget that our social media channels on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram are also great ways to get the facts and stay equipped and educated.
From the bottom of my heart and as a fellow Klein ISD parent, Happy National Parental Involvement Day to every parent and family member in our Klein Family! You make a positive difference in our schools—we thank you for your continued partnership in helping every student achieve success and thrive in Klein ISD.
I wish you all a very happy Thanksgiving!
