With 19 years in the classroom under his belt, Adolfo Sanchez likes to think that the grass is greener in his fifth-grade classroom at Klenk Elementary.

“Few teachers get the awesome opportunity to loop with their kids from one grade level to the next,” said Sanchez. “Lucky for me, this is my second year with my students. I’ve built meaningful relationships with them — it’s like having an ace up my sleeve. I get to see the fruits of my labor and see my students through school. I don’t have to wonder how they are doing, or if I got them all ready for their next grade level… I’m able to see it right in front of me and I am so proud of them!”

Teaching is no light-hearted task for Mr. Sanchez, though.

“My teachers were some of my biggest cheerleaders and motivators of how to succeed in life, second to my parents,” said Sanchez. “I always knew I wanted to be a teacher and pay it forward with the next generation and impart what was freely given to me.”

Mr. Sanchez’s heart for kids, love for relationship-driven teaching, and passion for paying it forward make him one valuable member of our #kleinfamily.
