The All-American Bowl aims to introduce the nation to the next generation of their favorite football stars. The selection process is rigorous and begins from the time the nation’s top prospects enter high school.

β€œFor many, playing in the All-American Bowl is the first step to becoming a household name,” All-American Bowl Tour Marketing Coordinator Jared Kossover said as he presented McGlothen with his official All-American jersey. β€œOf the one million high school football players across the country, only the top 100 receive an invitation to play in this elite sporting event. For Dwight, it all starts here.”

McGlothern was presented with his All-American jersey at Klein Oak High School during the official β€œRoad to the Dome” tour. He was supported by his classmates, teammates, teachers, coaches, family, and friends.

McGlothern follows in the footsteps of football’s finest – Tim Tebow, Andrew Luck, and Adrian Peterson just to name a few who have also graced the field during the All-American Bowl. This is an honor and privilege that he doesn’t take lightly.

β€œI had to dig deep to accomplish this,” he said. β€œWe’re a family here [at Klein Oak] and we stand behind each other no matter what. I’d like to thank the entire staff here, from the teachers I’ve created bonds with, to my coaches, and the lunch ladies.”

Tune in to NBC on Jan. 4, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. to watch McGlothern take the field at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas in front of 25,000 spectators. As an added bonus, see where this Panther will take his academic and athletic career next, as he will make his college selection live as well.

We are so proud of Dwight for representing Klein ISD in such a positive light, on and off the field. Good luck, Dwight, and know that your Klein Family is cheering you on!
