Spring Fire Leaves 2 Dead: Officials

SPRING, TX — Two people were killed in a fire in Spring early Saturday morning, according to the Harris County Fire Marshal's Office.

The fire was in the 2300 block of Pebworth Place. One of the victims was a child and the other victims was an adult, officials said. KHOU reported that the victims were a mother and her child.

The fire marshall's office was notified of the fire around 12:50 a.m., according to KHOU.

Three others were transported to the hospital.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
