Spring High School The Latest Campus Threatened With Violence
Spring ISD Police are investigating an alleged threat made at Spring High School

SPRING, TX — The Spring ISD Police Department is investigating a threat made to Spring High School.
School district officials said Wednesday that rumors were circulating of a potential threat of violence happening this Friday.
Karen Garrison, spokesperson for Spring ISD, told Patch that scholl district officials don't know if the threat is credible but they are not taking any chances with the safety of students or stasff members.

"We are communicating with our Spring High School parents and will continue to keep them updated," she said. "Our priority everyday is the safety and security of our students. We take all threats seriously and will always conduct a thorough investigation."
On Wednesday afternoon, Spring ISD tweeted steps to for talking with their students about school violence.

Spring is the latest Houston area school district to receive a threat to a campus, since a school shooting in Parkland, Florida left 17 people dead.
In the days after the shooting, school district administrators all over the Houston area have expressed condolences, reinforced campus safety, and urged parents to talked about the incident with their children.
Since the shoolting on Valentine's Day, about 20 Houston area campus have received threats of school violence, and led to the arrest of a number of juveniles in the area.
