Spring ISD School Locked Down When Suspicious Package Is Found
Thompson Elementary in Spring ISD was locked down after a suspicious package was found across the street fro the school.

SPRING, TX — The discovery of a suspicious package across the street from a Spring ISD elementary school campus prompted a lockdown on Tuesday afternoon.
Harris County Sheriff's Deputies were called out to Thompson Elementary School at about 2 p.m. for a suspicious package.
Deputies and members of the Spring ISD Police Department found the package and determined that it was not an explosive device.

The lockdown was lifted a hour later.
The recent rash of explosions in Austin, and then another in San Antonio on Tuesday morning has law enforcement all over Texas on high alert.
On Monday night, a package made up to look like a package bomb caused the evacuaiton of homes in northwest Houston on Monday night, and just on Tuesday alone, the Harris County Sheriff's Office has responded to 12 suspicious package calls, KPRC reported.
Witnesss reported a black bag on theside of the roadway across the street from the school, but investigators have not said what the suspicious item was that led to the lockdown.
