Police Release Mugshots Of Teens Charged With Capital Murder
Roderick Gerome Alexander and Julian Xavier Velarde, both 17, are charged with capital murder in the shooting death of Diego Andrade.
SPRING, TX — Two Spring area teenagers are facing capital murder charges for the shooting death of an 18-year old man, during an attempted armed robbery Tuesday.
The Harris County Sheriff's Office arrested and charged Roderick Gerome Alexander and Julian Xavier Velarde, both 17, in the shooting death of Diego Andrade.
Investigators said Andrade was driving in the 4400 block of Adonis Drive in the Birnham Woods subdivision with Alexander, Valarde and two others, when the pair began arguing and demanded money from Andrade.

Witnesses said one of the young men pulled out a gun and shot Andrade, killing him.

Alexander and Valarde ran from the car and were recorded on a nearby home suveillance camera.
The Harris County Sheriff's Office released footage of the men Wednesday, and had both men identified and in custody within hours.
If convicted, Alexander and Valarde face a possible sentence of life in prison, or the death penalty.
The case remains under investigation.
