Big Rig Flies Off I-69 In Sugar Land
An accident with another vehicle caused a big rig to fly off I-69 and land a car on University Blvd.
SUGAR LAND, TX — An accident between several vehicles on Interstate 69 caused a tractor-trailer to drive off the overpass at University Blvd., and land on a car on the feeder road below.
The accident happened at about at about 1:15 p.m. at University Blvd and I-69.
Witnesses said the big rig was hit by an SUV as both traveled southbound on I-69, causing the big rig to fly off the interstate and onto a car on the University Blvd. feeder road, KHOU reported.

The woman inside the smashed car was able to crawl out with the help of a good Samaritan and was taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
In all, five vehicles were damaged as a direct result of the crash, or a result of flying debris from the crash.

Several southbound lanes were blocked, and all of the University Blvd. feeder road at I-69 was blocked for several hours.
The accident is under investigation
