Body Of Missing Brazoria County Man Found In Oyster Creek
George Solis was reported missing on Jan 29, the same day his pickup was found abandoned behind a Lifetime Fitness in Sugar Land.

SUGAR LAND, TX — The body of a man recovered from Oyster Creek Thursday evening has been identified as a Brazoria County man who was reported missing two weeks earlier.
Police were called to the area of Brooks Lane and the 1200 block of State Highway 6 after two fisherman called about a body floating in the water.
Officers are working a scene in the area of 1200 Hwy 6 and Brooks St where the body of an unidentified male is being removed from the water. No other information available at this time.

Police were able to remove the body, which was positively identified as George Solis, who was was last seen by his family on Jan. 27.

Two days later, Solis’ pickup was stuck in the mud and still running behind a Lifetime Fitness facility in Sugar Land.
Police said his cell phone was inside the pickup.

The Sugar Land Police Department is conducting a death investigation; however, there are no signs of foul play.
An autopsy is pending with the Galveston County Medical Examiner.
