Bring a New Family Member Home for Holidays

Just in time for Christmas: Pet adoptions by the City of Sugar Land. Come find your forever friend this weekend.

SUGAR LAND, TX -- The Sugar Land Animal Shelter is offering a special intended to provide every shelter dog and cat with a loving home for the holidays.

From Dec. 17-24, dogs and puppies will be available for $30 instead of the normal fee of $105, and cats and kittens will be $20 instead of $95.

The fees include vaccinations, spaying, or neutering and a microchip with a lifetime registration.

The shelter is also taking requests for special deliveries of adopted pets by Santa Clause on Christmas Eve. Santa Clause will have time to make up to four deliveries to families who live in Sugar Land's
corporate city limits.

"The Sugar Land Animal Shelter has many cats, kittens, dogs and puppies available for adoption," said Animal Services Manager Kathryn Ketchum. "Choosing an animal is a big decision, so the shelter offers a
'sleepover' program."

Those interested in adopting a pet will have a chance to see if their choice is a perfect match before making the commitment. If it's a perfect match, just return to Sugar Land Animal Services to finalize the
adoption.
