Child Killed In Clute Accident After Father Tried To Re-Buckle Her
Reports say the father attempted to rebuckle her belt in the back seat as he was driving, causing the fatal and tragic accident.

CLUTE, TX -- A family is in mourning after a three-year-old died in a car accident, which happened while the father, who was driving, attempting to re-buckle the young girl.
The tragic accident happened on Stratton Ridge Road around 5:45 Friday morning, ABC13 reported. The little girl had unbuckled her seatbelt, according to the report, and the father turned around to re-buckle her.
That's when his Ford Focus veered off the road and hit a fence. Police say she was thrown from the car and died at the scene.

ABC13 spoke with locals, who say that on Stratton Ridge Road, safe places to pull over are few and far between. No charges are expected to be filed.
