The honorary chairs of The Inaugural Sugar Land Fire Fighters' Ball to salute first responders on the nation's 20th anniversary of 911 continue to stay at the forefront of important matters impacting the community. Former Sugar Land Mayor James A. "Jimmy" Thompson (2008 - 2016) and his wife, Gay, have been building relationships with so many residents that it seemed so logical for them to head up an event that will benefit the community at large.
